Race 3:

Quite like Nufoos to sail down the outside to get the cash in this. Has been taken around the provincial circuit to build up confidence and he has improved every start. Sandown Hillside really suits this horse, Try This is good opposition but I think Nufoos can beat him. Fifth Avenue Lady - favourite - please! Nufoos and Try This are four lengths better than her.

Race 7:

I was bang on about the ability of this one Tolka Rock. He killed a reasonable field at Ballarat on the weekend. We would have got a price if a few weren't scared away. Hopefully Chris Symons will take a leaf out of B Rawiller's ride on the weekend in that - assertiveness wins more often than not. He won't get any other option but to push foward from four and I'm seeing a repeat performance here based on the well placing of him at Sandown (big track) and relatively moderate opposition. Tolka Rock a best bet and to win again. No interest in second or third.

Race 2: Carbine Club Stks

I'll concede that Electromotive is a very good horse but don't think there is much between it and Cravings and with a small weight edge and a much more favourable price and barrier he is the way to go on soft ground. He's run some terrfic races in the slush, I've been with him all the way this campaign and hopefully it pays off here. Good run last start by Cravings. He's each-way odds and thats the way to bet on him. Electromotive the danger, Chamber third best.

Race 3:

Think I've found one here at odds for you in Aceland Street. This is a real wet-tracker and has Blake Shinn on board from two. He'll put her right in the action and she will do the rest in the straight. She's not a superstar but she can fight like crazy and is good enough to win this. A big place bet is probably the smart bet. Royal Rock and Gold Chant are others to consider.

Race 5: AJC Sires Produce Stks

Found Sebring last start at the Slipper no reason to drop off here has always looked a horse who can get further than the Sprinting distances. I think the margin between it and Von Costa De hero represents exactly the pecking order between these two. Sebring to win again from Von Costa De hero and Ryno Chaser who I think is a really good horse.

Race 6 : AJC Derby

The key to this race is which horse out of Littoria and Largo Lad can develop momentum in the wet and win the race. I thought Largo Lad was good last start and Beadman going on is an inspired decision, I think Littorio is going to be very hard to beat based on all his performances. If it was a dry track I'd be going for Largo Lad for sure, but the wet track over a distance I'm a bit concerned. So tipping Littorio on top, from Largo Lad and Book Of Kells for third.

Race 7: TJ SmithStks

Fresh 1200m Apache Cat is going to be desperately hard to beat. This horse when he first burst on to the scene was known more as a wet tracker than a very good horse, so if you throw that in as well he looks unbeatable in this. I like him a fair bit to run down Takeover Target. Takeover Target is a brilliant horse but the wet track and the first up factor brings him down a peg or two. Magnus to run third.

Race 8: Doncaster Handicap

Really have warmed to one in this. All Silent. A paralysing winner last start after running in a few unsuitable campaign starters. He missed the kick a little last start, found a path, then had to stop in its tracks when the run closed, flicked to the inside and screamed past some good horses. This horse has always looked a serious player and looking at the favourites for the race I'm not scared at all about declaring this one at 14-1. Think he's a really good bet in this and making him a best bet. Can't miss e/w. I think Gallant Tess, Serious Speed and Forensics are the hardest to beat.
