Race 1:

Princess Marizza is perhaps better than these and this looks within her grasp second up. She looks the one here. Diamond Cove is a chance, the key to her is a few runs under her belt and a fast track...looks like getting that here. Blazonry was advantaged by a biased track last start but still won in good style, she will be hard to catch and then Sun Glazed who's going well.
Race 2 :

The discrepancy in the weights look to great to ignore in this. Danzylum is the tip. This horse can really box on, if it gets a steady run up on the speed. Doesn't look to be too much speed so he looks a good bet in this. Knockout loves Sandown and is drawn favourably for a horse that need's room. Has been in form without knocking you over with it. King Johannes even with the big weight has to be some threat as well, this is much easier than he has faced recently.
Race 3 :

I would have loved Secret Weekend to draw a touch inside however I still think they can get an easy lead here if they want it. Yes there are a few horses drawn low that will head foward, but none of them are likely to want to take it up. I rate this horse and those that email me would have got the tip last start at Kilmore. That win was better than it looked as I think this horse is more effective on top of the ground. I'll be sticking a decent place bet on her to profit, but she might just win. Chinamora and PleasentSundayGirl are the hardest to beat. Chinamora raced more maturely than ever last start, she has the ability and looks like getting a soft run. Pleasant Sunday Girl needs to be respected and should go well here.
Race 4 :

Solar Secret is the pick her based on the draw. Should roll foward from the low draw and will appreciate firm ground. Hasn't had an arduous campaign so look for something from him. Dismissal had been building up to that good performance last start and expected to go on with it at a track it's been very effective at before. Larson was a terrific win in the bush, and drawn nicely in the middle...he could be the value.
Race 5:

Spectacular Saint won convincingly over 1100m down the Flemington straight. I rate that a tough win, and his prospects getting a relatively soft 1200m at Sandown are very high. Easily the top rater. Let Go Thommo likes this track and is going well...must be considered and Gibraltor Campion looks best placed over this distance and should be strong on the line.

Race 6 : Sandown Cup

I can narrow this one down to two...Fire In the Night and Extend. I like Fire In the Night at this track should really like going down the dip before producing a run up the straight I think this track is slightly more favourable for it over Extend who looks the stayer of the two...but that may count for little given the WFA. Good win last start and second best in front of Zipping who clearly is the WFA horse of the race, can sprint off a slow pace and hasn't been overly taxed this campaign...can see him slipping into third.
Race 7:

A likely slow speed and the draws of the favourites make this one slightly easier to work out. El Mandon, Zacroona and Belcentra are clearly the best three in the race and breaking these down further we come up with El Mandon as the hardest to beat. Endured a tough run last start, much like his Valley run but performed right up to expectations. Beaten by a horse that run in much quicker running as it turned out for the day. I think this will be a slow speed and can see El Mandon the first one to pounce and perhaps getting too far away from his more competitive rivals who will be chasing. Zacroona showed great improvement last start, he must go in here following that run, nothing from behind him that day will trouble him here. Belcentra has drawn the Car Park and is likely to drift back, she will have to be good given the speed might be a slow one.
Race 8:

In what looks the toughest race of the day we are going all out here on Gotta Have Heart. The dead track beat her last start, when she let down she couldn't get away like she can on rock hard tracks. Here she should get a soft run outside the lead and be very hard to run down. Definitely a best bet if the track is firm. Sharkbite likes this track and is right back to his best he's the hardest to beat, then Count To Zero who is drawn to get a menancingly good run. Both will be coming at ours but Gotta Have Heart will win this...
Race 9:

Like It Is gets the nod in the last. The pace and track worked right against her last start...she is a Sandown specialist and that counts for alot here. Very hard to beat, along with Miss Fantabulous and Guild who I rate highly in this. Miss Fantabulous doesn't mind a wide draw she takes some winding up but should get in her stride her and will be threatening late...she'll go close and Guild. Looks a tricky galloper but I like her getting around here ok.
