Moonee Valley
Exclusive Report 29th March
VRC Upcoming Events
Form Guides (RSB)
Race 1:

Going with the Exceed and Excel horse Alseraaj in the first. Camilla Princess and Secdolrue the best of the raced.
Race 2:
Not suprised that Dane the Rave was able to bounce back quickly last start he's a good horse and looks like snaring this one. Get Set beat a subseqent city winner last start in a decent race in Adelaide and possesses good wet form. Wilsons Promontory third best has a touch of class and likes this track.
Race 3 :

Royale Harmony I think is the most talented of these and has 4.5kg on Zacroona on a wet track that's enough for me. This horse rans some massive hidden races in group Company in the Spring. Sacha Royale worked home well last start, a filly in good form is worth following up on. We tried to get a dollar out of Chamber at the big odds last start and wasn't too far away. This is much easier company, step up in distance is favourable and down in the weights comes right into it.
Race 4 :
Hard to go past Bold Moment in this. Strong winner down the straight, thrashed Nuclear Force and Dance on Air who have come out and run really well since. Looks the one to beat. In terms of betting value Beaming perhaps looks the one, as Bold Moment will be around the even money. Suggest a place bet on Beaming here. Above average, goes well this track and being out of Canadian Silver not suprised its handled the wet in the past. Lamiriqua is the query runner, looks to have the most talent in the field following a most impressive win at Ballarat. Has questionable dead track form prior...thats the question mark.
Race 5:

It's a natural thing to look down in the weights on wet tracks, but with the compressed weight scale here seing only 1.5kg between top and bottom one most look at the topweights. And wella, Reggie a duck in the wet who is coming off some encouraging form for it in shorter races. I could pick holes through all these but apart from not being a superstar Reggie is the most honest and genuine of this lot and lifts another gear or two in the wet. Snap up the double figure odds eachway. Nothing between Prima Nocte, Wily Carol as next best then Surfside Christmas.
Race 6 :

Just going to tip Stuvyesant here. Races on strange tracks in Tassie so I wouldn't think the Valley will pose to many problems. Has a fitness and form edge on horses around it so he looks the one. Drumbeater is next best. Flying for him, down in the weights and might be able to roll foward in a race that lacks speed. Could be good place value, you'd think one of the good ones would probably roll him. Spinney is next best. Again likes the track and of the class runners looks to be going as good as any of them.
Race 7:

Mr Speedstar looks a nice e/w bet in this. Trialled the house down and has put it on the track as well. Looks an improver and again down in the weights and has winning wet track form. He's the tip here. Streetfighter will be the harderst to beat, similarly going well and finds a length in the slush. First Militia might be able to do something on speed and hang around for a placing.
Race 8:

Judusk could be a good sneaky bet in the last. Wouldn't read to much in to an old-timers first up run at Edenhope. Flies around here, loves the wet and doesn't carry a stack of weight. Absolutely no idea for the placegetters - Riceman, and Korcula. Let Loushe is flying but has no wet track form, and there doesn't look massive pace. He needs to go in your quaddies but might be hard to have beyond that.

Best for the Weekend Below.
Sydney
Cravings 8.0 (E/W) More the Place
Very good horse, loves the wet.
Largo Lad 8.2 (E/W)
All the pressure is on Weekend Hussler, we'll be out the back and will come with one booming run.
Adelaide
Queen of Queens 8.0
Steps up to a winnable distance in Adelaide, will be more competitive with Zarita and will go close to winning the race.
