Exclusive Report 27th September
Form Guides (RSB)
Race 1: 1-6-4-8

Should be able to profit from the first armed with the knowledge that there are four very good hopes and I expect the market to be soft given its the first race and the unkowns of who will go inside and out. The result of this is good prices and something you should get with Wilander the top rater. Brilliant horse who won with ridiculous ease in his first two runs. Should be able to land in the first couple either way they go and have a clear shot at winning this over a 1000m. The last start failure will just add to his price where he was ridden poorly and possibly had enough going into that run. My plan with this race is to back him and save on Olanana who was good on debut in Sydney and will get a chance to run on its Sydney leg drawn 12. Altitude who I rate as a horse, did everything but win last start and Millbank who was a good winner at Bendigo on debut.
Race 2: 4-6-9-7

Two clear standouts here in Stanton and Dancefloor Prodigy. The Quinella and backing them both straighout appeals in this. Stanton made ridiculous progress from its debut win at Geelong where it looked rather maligned in winning there, to come out at Sandown, race wide and have the audacity to sprint away up the straight. Flemington 1400 appeals very hard to beat. Giving DanceFloor Prodigy one more chance who was clearly beaten last start but I have a feeling will go better at Flemington - will lob in the right spot and will be over the odds. Giotto looks to be a horse that will appreciate the extra distance and for the first time looked a real racehorse last time and Iamzeus who will have its fans. Will need a heady ride though to feature as its a big horse that needs galloping room and from three will need to be well ridden.
Race 3: 11-2-5

Pretty hard race the third with many chances. Going for one who I'm hoping to be an improver in Larissa. Was as green as grass on debut, over-raced terribly and found bother in the straight. Next start was a little more mature and made good ground in the straight. Thinking with the ten barrier it is advantageous as it doesn't seem to enjoy being behind horses - speculating that she might go ok in this. Dan Baroness will be hard to beat again. Excellent winner last start will be all over the finish again. Can overcome the barrier. Fandangle next best with not a huge deal of confidence but she can put herself into a race and has some ability.
Race 4: 7-12-10-1
To my mind Sparkling Satine had its acid test last start and came through with flying colours. She missed the start and was set a task to win a tough 1800m at Sandown and she shone. She is a good horse and even though she has drawn off the track happy to make her the top rater. She can go foward or race back - prefer her to roll foward, in a race that looks like having no speed. Going for Christie's Dream to add value. She flies on firm ground which was the secret to her winning at good odds last start. She's a good horse with a light weight, will probably get back but expect to run on. Explobo next best, ran one of the fast sectionals on the day at Sandown last start and looks like going on with it in this. Dane Julia next best - not having much luck this time in but is going well.
